I think he realizes by this point that when my phone alarm goes off, it means one of two things. I am either about to drag his butt out of bed (or, depending on the morning, pull him under the covers to cuddle while i hit snooze), or i’m about to leave. SO. this morning he taught himself a new trick.

My phone was on the table in the living room. He took my phone into my room, hid it under my pillow on my bed, and sat on it. When the alarm went off, he just looked at me all innocent, like “no, my butt isn’t ringing!!!”  sigh. he’s so cute, he tries to get me to stick around every single morning, either hiding under the bed… or barking and barking unless i’m in my room with him… laying on my bag/coat/shoes… peeing on my bag… haha it’s nice to have someone who wants me there 24/7!

Anyone know a really really good self-teaching guide for organic chem, or for physics? I’m really in trouble as far as the MCATs go and I need to learn it quick!  I was thinking the whole “for dummies” series but is there a computer program or something? I feel I’d be more likely to follow it then. Particularly if it doesn’t involve a cd because my cd drive is broken

so as my blog title implies, i’m getting ready to move out to the west coast… Tacoma, to be exact… from Philadelphia. i’m feeling way better about it, especially now that we’re engaged AND we’re not living near the monster-in-law his parents.  the less fun part of this is, that we are trying to figure out how the hell we’re gonna afford this move. jared isn’t working because he’s still in school, and as of july will be just unemployed he can’t really work until he takes his boards. which leaves me supporting us until he passes and starts a job.  unfortunately, i live alone in philly, so i pretty much make as much as i need to live, maybe a little extra, but not a lot.  we’re looking at furnished apartments because we figured it would be a whole lot cheaper than moving furniture… but we still need all my clothes, stuff to cook with, dishes, all my dvd’s, my computer…
so i looked into a uhaul truck, the smallest one, and it would cost $3,500 to move with that. PLUS GAS. in august. yikes.

does anyone know of a cheaper way to do this?!?! like i said, we’re not taking furniture, only essential things, but it’s still turning out to be ridiculous!  i have a small car, and we’re going 3000 miles, so any kind of trailer for my car is kind of impossible.

i’m finally getting so excited for the move. it looks a little more likely that i’ll be able to keep my current job when i move, which is great, and i just feel better about things in general. jared & i are planning on getting second puppy when we move, so there’s that to look forward to, and he applied to an AMAZING job. med school out there is super cheap if i’m a resident, and it FINALLY feels like things are falling into place. now, i know from experience that this usually means something terrible is lurking around the corner, but i’m trying to keep my sunny outlook

i’ve been cooking lately!! on and off. haha. but last night i made chicken wtih a cucumber mint yogurt sauce and it was really good (and noah loved it)… tomorrow night i’m trying a whole bunch of stuff on two of my friends (and noah), complete with mojitos and pineapple salsa, and i must say i’m pretty excited. if i update this with any sort of regularity i will let ya know how it goes.

Okay so I know I haven’t written here in forever… oops… I’ve been so preoccupied with Jared being around all the time! It’s great I’m forbidding him to go to Alaska or Washington for rotations. He needs to stay with me and play house.  We even have our lil fur baby, who is officially: part dog, part cat (he meows and walks on the back of my couch), part kangaroo (you should see him run/jump), part koala (he clings to me like CRAZY… i literally have to pry him off!), part monkey (ridiculously agile and can get on ANYTHING), and part tazmanian devil (see apartment… lol)

alright, so lately, and by lately i mean the past several weeks, i have been absolutely EXHAUSTED, ALL the time. I mean, literally drag myself out of bed, can barely keep my eyes open, fighting not to fall asleep at work exhausted. Every. Day.  and the weird thing is, I’ve been getting decent sleep for once… i’ve probably gotten 7-8 hours consistently for a month or two now.  So what’s the problem?! i was thinking maybe i don’t get enough exercise, which is entirely possible, but i’m too tired to go to the gym. i play with noah but that’s about it, all i want to do is sleep. blah!  any thoughts/suggestions/advice/recommendations/etc would be very much appreciated, because i’m tired of sleepin with my eyes open!

I’ve definitely decided it’s time to start working out again… only thing is, i seriously suck at motivating myself! i need competition!  haha everywhere in my life… even at work… without competition I am worthless and unmotivated!!  I need a friend or someone to have some kinda gym, working out, getting in shape, etc, contest with! and then i will get my butt there daily   of course, this is all pending having energy   but for now… i should finish working

so, there’s this “chocolatier” game. that i beat. and there’s a chocolatier 2 game. which i’m planning on beating asap. but, the thing is, the game is SO addicting. i don’t know why… even when i get annoyed with it i can’t stop!! something about making chocolates and bringing the broken chocolate making family in the game together again seems so urgent…hahaha… i’m a loser.

i don’t even know what to say. this is so hard. so much harder than it should be. and i’m afraid he’s not gonna budge on anything and its gonna end. i don’t wanna give up med school. i don’t wanna give up things i want in life for myself.  i want it to be OUR life, not his life with me tagging along and i swear i will explain more later but for now… i’m doing my absolute best not to burst into tears at work. cuz i already did that on my lunch for a good 45 min. ahhhhhhhhhhh!

somebody please go in my head and tell me what is right what is wrong what is best for me where i will be happy whats gonn ahappen in the future and if this is a big mistake…….. :’(  :’(  :’(  :’(  :’(

he was super abusive last night. i think he got bitten by a tick with an aggressive gene. he was pouncing all over me, snapping, barking, squirming away, pawing at my face, even jumped on and smacked me in the nose twice… yikes… haha i actually have a bruise from the little bugger.

yuck, i think i have some allergies goin on today… my head’s all foggy and hurting and tired, even though i got pretty decent sleep, and my eyes are red and puffy and my nose is stuffy…. lol i need claritin, or benadryl (if i could nap), but all i had was midol so hopefully that’ll do *something* hahaha… oh man, i’m a mess.

why does this say 3:04pm? Clearly it is 11:04am. I tried to adjust the time but *evidentally* it didn’t work… hmm.

a thought… next tuesday is st patrick’s day… but the funny thing is, for as much as i LOVE four leaf clovers, i couldn’t care less about the holiday. aside from the fact that my favorite shape is everywhere.

today is the blonde skank whore’s birthday. it bothers me to no end that her birthday is the day before mine. and since none of you know who the blonde skank whore is… to make an horrifically long painful story short, my boyfriend dated her briefly last year, and she used the hell out of him, all while seeing other guys, and he knew but damn was he whipped, and he kept going back to her for months. and months. and now she texts him every once in awhile, specifically if she knows he’s gonna be around, and he ignores it, but it bothers meeeeee… so today is the bitch’s birthday, and i hope it sucks

man today is dragging!! it’s not even warm out, but for some reason i think it is and want to go outside haha

and by freaking out, i mean looking up pictures of doggie cancer all day. calling vets to see if i need to bring him in. yes, i’m *that* puppy mom. but, the vet said i should bring him in asap anyway, cuz that didn’t exactly sound like something all too friendly. awesome.

sooooooooo i get home… look at him.. and where the black thingy was this morning, its now a big red kinda bleeding lump but no black thing. so i’m of course lookin & feeling all of his skin for anything else (and he’s squirming trying to get away)… when on the side of his neck, i find ANOTHER growth. except this one is smooth. and gray.  look a little closer… this thing has legs. UGH! A TICK! and, lemme tell ya, this thing ate WELL. i’m talkin, brucie-and-the-chocolate-cake well (seen Matilda??).  it was disgusting. blood oozing out of it all over. he must’ve gotten it while we were playing outside in the woods (ha… as close to u get in philly) on saturday. so i pulled it off. flushed it. called the vet. who said that this mornings growth couldve been a tick that exploded (um, ew)… which is why it was firm and lumpy, not squishy smooth gray & bloody… but since he has such a reaction, and since he’s been throwing up and lazier that usual, i should bring him in within a few days for lyme disease tests, and possible prophylactic abx.

ticks are about the most disgusting things in the world, especially now that i found one sucking my dog’s blood. they’re right below large cockroaches, right about small cockroaches. UGH UGH UGH UGH GUH.

awesome. so now i’m itchy all over annnnnd thinking… if my dog had a tick… and maybe lyme disease… and my dog sleeps with me… *shudders* time to change bedding!

moving on to happier thoughts. i got a birthday card from jared today   he is not normally a sappy person… hell, this is the first card i have ever gotten from him… so on the outside, its a picture of two people holding hands (but actually its just their hands) in front of a sunset on a beach, and it says “sunrises. sunsets. and everything in between….” and on the inside it says “amazing. all because of you. happy birthday.”  cute!  and he wrote… “happy birthday baby! so… here is some starbucks for you <it came with a starbucks gift card> since i can’t be there to buy you any. also, be watching your mailbox. i sent you something else, but i sent it before you reminded me not to send it to your apartment cuz they suck. so i’m really sorry but you might have to go way out of your way to get it, i’m really sorry. either way it’ll be worth it, i promise. so, let me know when you get it and i’ll explain more when you do. i hope you have an amazing birthday baby. i wish i could be there to see you and huge you and kiss you. since i’m not gonna be there for it, we’ll make up for it over the april 4th weekend !!!  love you rhi-rhi!“  so obviously now i am SO curious about april 4th, because i can’t work the 4th or the 5th, and i’m not allowed to wear the dress he got me until then, and, well, i’m about the most impatient person in the world.  i mean i could sit here and guess, and yesterday he said he gave me more info than he wanted to, but somehow i totally missed that lol… i’m excitedddddddd about whatever it is!

Soooo it’s one of those days where I think staying in bed was the best option. First of all, I woke up at 8am. I have to be at work at 830. The bus takes at least half an hour to get there. So as you can imagine… that didn’t happen. And of course, Noah was all cuddly this morning, and as I was running around like a maniac trying to get ready, he was just lookin at me all confused with those big sleepy puppy eyes sayin “mommy, come back to bed and snuggle with me!”  It’s not raining hard, just that drizzly, misty, gray, blankets-and-a-movie kind of rain

So, since thus far I look like I’m just stressed out and have no real personality… and because it’s my blog and I can be narcicisstic if I want to (especially since I just took a test on personality disorders and have self-diagnosed about ten)… a little bit about me!

I am 22… about to be 23… I work full-time at a company doing medical exams for veterans… part-time at Victoria’s Secret… go to Drexel full-time online (so I don’t have to pay back my bazillions of loans from college)… and am taking an EMT class… and I have the above mentioned ten month old terrier puppy ball of energy named Noah, who is essentially like my kid. He literally bounces off EVERYTHING… can jump up into my arms (and does every day when I get home)… walks on his hind legs on a regular basis… loves squeaky toys and playing outside… and hates waking up in the mornings, unless I have an opportunity to sleep in.

i love….  four-leaf-clovers. the beach. tanning when i can’t get to the beach. my car (though i miss mikey). cuddling (esp with noah). clean snow when i don’t have to go anywhere. naps. holidays. working out. heels (the higher the better). late night phone conversations. thunderstorms. all things VS. ice cream. music (esp country). massages. candy canes. loud music in cars. peanut m&ms (but ONLY holiday ones). perfectly worn-in jeans. spring, fall, and summer. getting mail. dressing up. candy. the seahawks. good mascara. sex and the city. spearamint gum. steve madden shoes. friends & family. pictures.

i have unhealthy obsessions with…
~four leaf clovers. they’re everywhere. necklaces, belly button ring, decorating my room, even tattooed on my hip. haha and the irony is, when i bought clover plants last year, i had mutants with only two leaves…
~VS. it’s sickening, really. thank god i get a lot for free or with my discount haha
~smoothness. i go through a ridiculous amount of razors. laser hair removal would be cheaper lol
~texting. i’m out of control. luckily at&t started unlimited texting.

Several things drive me INSANE, such as…
~drinking out of more than one spot on a glass… or if you have to, drink DIRECTLY across from the other spot… my sisters lick all the way around their glasses to bother me.
~teeth on forks, spoons, etc. my mom does this to bother me.
~people pushing the “door close” or floor button on the elevator repeatedly… it’s not gonna get you there faster…
~people not responding to my texts. i’m borderline paranoid
~squeaky toys at 4am
~not being able to help people who are sad/hurt/unhappy… i’m super-empathetic, so i tend to put myself in other people’s shoes, and i get SO upset for them!! guess this is why i wanna go to med school.
~bad writers
~slackers!!!!!
